The Bedford Credit Union Your local community bank

Bedford Credit Union (BCU) is a not-for-profit organisation owned and run by its members, providing savings  facilities and low-cost loans. The BCU provides an alternative to High Street banks and doorstep lenders. We encourage regular saving and aim to educate our members in money management. We can also signpost members to local debt counselling services.

Volunteering
Volunteers carry out many key functions, including promoting the Credit Union in the community and workplace, acting as cashiers at our Collection Points and making decisions on loans. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please contact us at the Bedford Office.

Debit Card
We offer a debit card that is loaded from your account and you can use in shops, on the internet and to withdraw money from ATM’s. Please contact the Bedford office for details.
