NOTICE IS GIVEN that we are applying to the Consistory Court of the diocese for permission to carry out the following:
Provision of glass canopy outside entrance to church to enable outdoor services
etc
Copies of the relevant plans and documents may be examined at
On the main church noticeboard and entrance doors of church - church open for worship and
on a publicly accessible website at www.stmarkschurch.com
(If changes to a church are proposed, a copy of the petition and of any designs, plans, photographs and other documents that were submitted with it must be displayed in the church or at another place where they may be conveniently inspected by the public. If the petition is submitted through an online system, those documents must also be publicly available for inspection online.)

Minute of St Mark’s Church Council 10 February 2021
The Leadership team proposed that a fund should be established for a glass covered veranda to be installed to replace the marquee outside the church. This would provide an outdoor waiting or meeting area between the church foyer and the Wren building. Council gave approval for faculty permission to be sought from the Diocese.

The structure would be 10 m wide and project 4.25m from the building.

Structure consisting of aircraft grade aluminium which is powder and colour lacquered to existing church furniture
The glass on the roof is 8mm toughened heat soaked glass with a snow load of 85kg per square metre.
